Ron Gutierrez is a soulful, genre-blending vocalist whose sound reflects a lifetime of musical influences - jazz, country, Christian, pop, and R&B. The son of saxophonist Tony Gutierrez, a founding member of the Topeka Jazz Workshop, and a mother who loved country music, Ron developed his versatility early, singing in church and performing throughout his youth before honing his craft at the University of Kansas and in Kansas City clubs.
For three years, Ron was a lead vocalist with Garry Mac Productions and The Atlantic Express, a 12-piece, 60’s-style R&B group based in Kansas City. His career took off when he earned a full-time professional vocalist position with the elite vocal ensemble, The U.S. Army Chorale (now The U.S. Army Band Downrange), part of The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own,” based in Washington, D.C. With the Chorale and as a frequently requested soloist, he performed for 2 Presidential administrations, Congress, military leaders, and countless U.S. and international dignitaries. His rich vocals have led to performances alongside Michael McDonald, Wynonna Judd, Rita Moreno, and B.B. King, as well as appearances at Carnegie Hall, The Lincoln and Kennedy Centers, The Apollo Theater, and on PBS with the National Symphony Orchestra.
Since returning to Kansas City, Ron has become one of the region’s most sought-after performers, appearing with the world-renowned Kansas City Jazz Orchestra, touring with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, as well as headlining concerts and festivals in the U.S. and abroad, including Rome and Morocco. He is also an in-demand National Anthem performer for U.S Men’s Soccer, KU Basketball, The KC Chiefs and Royals, Sporting KC, the Big 12 Conference, and the NCAA.
In 2023, Ron captured global attention when a candid audience video of him performing the Luther Vandross song “Wait for Love” was posted, along with the hashtag “LatinLuther”. The video went viral across all social media platforms, introducing his powerful voice to millions of new fans worldwide.

AnnaLee and the Lucky So and Sos are a Kansas City-based band that celebrates the Kansas City sound of the decades of the 1930s, 40s, and 50s: the heyday of KC-style jazz, swing, and jump blues.
For over twenty years, AnnaLee and the Lucky So and Sos have been thrilling audiences, and dancers, with their high-spirited interpretations of tunes by Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald, Julia Lee, Louie Jordan, and so many more, and the band has even contributed a few of their own original tunes, always in the
distinctive Kansas City style.

Johnnie Genevieve (Miller) Bills
Johnnie (so named, by the way, since her father had selected Johnny as a boy’s name, expecting his third child might break the tradition of daughters) was playing at The Lyric theater in Salisbury, Missouri when Elmer Bills bought the location in 1924. Smitten by her natural charm, love of life, and youthful exuberance, Elmer fell in love and the two married a few years later. Their son Elmer Bills, Jr. would join forces with Sterling Bagby to formally create B&B Theatres. Johnnie would work at the theater her whole life, selling tickets and making friends with all who came to enjoy the magic of the movies. She was the life of every party and was beloved by everyone she encountered. A prodigious bridge player who loved a good bourbon, Johnnie lived the life she wanted and enjoyed every second. Our diverse selection of signature bourbons is a tribute to Johnnie, and we invite you to try one (or three) as you enjoy some live music, great food, and time with good friends.
